Registration for Team Travis-2008 Marine Corps Marathon and MCM 10k Race, which will be held on Sunday October 26th, has now begun. Our team will again be running in memory of 1st Lt. Travis L. Manion USMC, who died April 29, 2007 in Iraq. Please join us to honor this great hero who made the ultimate sacrifice for his battalion, and for his country. Travis inspired us all last year as we ran the 2007 MCM and 10k, and his spirit will be with us again this year as we establish a charity which will continue his legacy of helping others. Our group was united in a powerful bond last year only 6 months after Travis's death, and we invite you to join with us in 2008 if you are looking for more than just running a race. Being a part of Team Travis is truly an emotional experience that will fill you with the spirit of this heroic American.
To become a member of Team Travis, we ask that you raise a minimum of $500 for the 1st Lt. Travis Manion USMC Memorial Fund, an organization that supports the families of wounded and fallen soldiers.
